Hi, I’m Mami. I’m an exchange student at Thompson Rivers University and study English and Canadian culture. I came to Canada because I want to improve my English skills and find a job which uses English and relate with international people. I have been interested in Western style life because of American movies and music since high school. Then I admired it and started studying English. Yet there are less chances to speak English in Japan, so I decided to go to study abroad because I thought that my English skills would improve if I spent my life surrounded by English. Moreover, I would like to find a job which relate with international people and work abroad in the future. In this time, I need to understand international culture. I thought I will be able to learn other cultures not only Canadian but others because there are many kinds of national people in Canada. This is why I came to Canada.
