To say YES 🙆

I had one thing in mind. It’s to say YES. When asked if I would do it, I said absolutely. It connected new experiences and to make international friends. First day my host family asked me if I wanted to go to church on Sunday morning. To be honest I was nerves to go there because I had not been to church when I was in Japan and religion isn’t familiar for Japanese, however I decided to go there because I came to Canada to learn culture and its good opportunity to do it. In there I talked with older people and taught Japanese at Sunday school. I gained new values and way of thinking. Last Sunday was last day, so I stepped forward and gave a speech to every one of my gratitude. One lady who always talked told me she will really miss me and my English had improved, so I was glad.

My host mother asked me if I want to join a Focus club, so I decided to go there every Friday. Students eat dinner, talk, and play games in there. I needed to talk about my country habit or my opinion at discussion time. First time I was afraid of my mistake, however I realized I should be able to talk about own idea and country’s things if I live in abroad. Then I tried to enjoy this time and speak up. Also, I could make many international friends. Before I came to Canada, I thought I was going to meet many Canadian, but actually it isn’t. My friends are from Zambia, India, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka, China, and Mexico. I’m happy to be friends many national people.

These experiences definitely helped me grow as a person, so I am very glad that I said yes and continued with the challenge, even if it was little bit scary things
